Brazil is the Manaan of Modern Warfare 2. Incredibly long and incredibly annoying, what with Brazilian militia popping out everygodsdamnwhere and in seemingly limitless numbers. Add this to being able to take maybe three or four shots before death on Veteran, and I hate Brazil.

I'm sure you all have heard about the terrorist level. If not, here's the scoop: you get to be a terrorist for story reasons and gun down civvies in an airport. I think this is one of the things the game auto-skips if you tell it to when you start up (I said "Show me everything" because I'm cool with feeling something other than my blood pressure rise in games. This is a sign of something). And... I did feel a bit of perverse glee while mowing people down. My shadow popping up, I guess.

And then there's seeing Washington on fire. The Washington monument burning, Capitol building, Jefferson Memorial (it was his or Lincoln's), all that stuff. Since I've seen DC in ruins already (Fallout 3), it's not surprising. The fighting all throughout is pretty intense, though.

So yeah. Haven't touched multiplayer yet. Annoying that I can't be in party chat when I'm playing.

Modern Warfare 2 and Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time gotten. PS3 needed some love, but I wanted MW2 for Xbox. Small crowd at our unusual midnight release.

About what I thought would happen: I'd DL it, have it scan my stuff, and get all the awards in one go. It's likely going to expand its awards for every Halo game that comes out in the future.
