Situation is this: City ruled by a guy has a lot of slaves. Slaves are not happy. Disease runs rampant throughout the city, forcing (in the leader's mind) the slavery. Leader has the cure, slaves want it. You get involved. You find out that the cure is the leader's kid.
Here's the choice: kidnap the child and give her to the slaves so they can do their own tests (they knew about the kid beforehand and were going to try to get her anyway), or stop the slave rebellion and leave the child in the care of the leader, so a cure may be found (the child is being treated humanely).
Once I found this out, I didn't kidnap the child. I wanted to try and settle things down; get the slaves to lay down their arms and get Asher (the leader) to stop the slavery. The game did not have these options. The slaves hate me for it, and Asher is thankful for what I did.
As for The Pitt as a whole... well, nothing's going to change. Asher will keep the slaves going until he finds the cure, and all we have is his word that it'll get dispersed and The Pitt becomes a thriving city.
I don't think the other option was better.
